This project is referenced from archive because it provides two clear points: A very clean transition of a table based layout into standards based CSS xHTML design, and the use of interactive Flash. None of these things are relevant to today’s development, but they are fundamental just the same. That, and back then, without the frameworks and automation this was a pretty awesome medium size site build. It would arguably still be valid today other than its lack of responsiveness.
The site’s design process was a standard volley of about 8 design iterations provided by David and the appropriate yes/no/change-this-change-that requests by Todd. The final design proved to be quite timeless in the UI/UX experience with it’s only limitation being a then-contemporary max width of 800 x 600 based on browser resolution stats of the day. Oh, and then there is/was the highly limited options in font use which are evident by the screenshots here.
